Generation Z grew up in the era of online multiplayer games, and you would think that these games would define our preferences. As stated in https://iwantmedia.com/the-gambling-preferences-of-generation-z/, we still enjoy playing single-player games, and this is interesting because it seems like we are always on social media, always looking for new people and constant communication. However, single-player games give us a completely different experience that is difficult to get in multiplayer games. I believe that these are the games that offer us deep stories, the opportunity to immerse ourselves in a world without distractions, where you decide how to develop your character and how he or she will act in certain situations. It is something like a unique personal story that you can live alone, without thinking about how others will evaluate your performance. The example of The Witcher 3 is one of the brightest. This game is not just sword fighters, it is an entire world filled with characters, choices and consequences. In it, you become a part of the story. Horizon Zero Dawn is also a great immersive experience. And that's probably one of the reasons why, despite the popularity of multiplayer, we keep coming back to single-player games. They give us the opportunity to escape into our own world, where there is no pressure from other players, and you can fully immerse yourself in the story.

I also think that despite the obvious popularity of multiplayer games, single-player games still have their own unique appeal. We, Generation Z, are used to fast-paced content, constant social interactions, but single-player games allow us to escape from that and truly immerse ourselves in other worlds. Honestly, sometimes you just want to take a break from social media and communication and experience something alone.
